MEET ASMI’s ADMINISTRATION TEAM

GLENN MUNDEY – CEO -  joined The Australian School of Medical Imaging as the Operations Manager in 2009 with nearly 30 years of progressively responsible experience directing as many as 60 employees in a diverse range of multimillion dollar companies across many commercial and service sectors. Glenn has led these companies through start-up, survival, turnaround and growth modes displaying superior leadership during critical transition phases.

In 2010, Glenn assumed the role of General Manager for both ASMI and Insight Clinical Services.

With a career that commenced in 1981 in electronic and telecommunications engineering, Glenn’s passion for business saw him diverse and progress to the professional services sector, commencing his studies in Land and Economics. Glenn quickly established a successful career in sales, marketing, management and operations across the Property, HR, Executive Recruitment and Construction sectors including owning and operating his own businesses during this time.

Glenn’s broad and focused expertise in telecommunications, business, human resources, marketing, new business development, operational and strategic focus for both national and international markets combined with his strengths in strong data-driven, long-term strategic planning is a welcome addition to the professional and consulting services offered by ASMI to its clients.

Glenn’s strategic direction for ASMI will cement ASMI as the leader of Ultrasound Training and Ultrasound workforce solutions on both the domestic and international platforms.

 

SUE HEWLETT – Sue began her training as a radiotherapist at Sydney Hospital in 1970. In 1976, she left her work as a radiotherapist to assist in establishing the Hornsby Diagnostic Ultrasound Centre. It was here she worked on the first real-time ultrasound system that could detect fetal hearts at six weeks gestation.

From 1970–1980, Sue was a key figure associated with ultrasound training in Australia. Following these years, Sue worked briefly in Melbourne while her husband accepted a job transfer. She then returned to the San in 1982 to work on brand new ultrasound technology, where she remained until 1989 when her husband was transferred again, this time to Bali. Sue returned to the San in 1995 then moved to Northside Medical Imaging Lindfield in 2000.

Major highlights of Sue’s career have been as one of the first application specialists for Unirad and ADR, research with the CSIRO and Department of Agriculture, and as a key figure in the first sonographer’s group of the then ASUMB (Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). She has also been integral in setting up the DMU and sitting on its examination board.

Sue has written for many leading ultrasound journals. She has also lectured on both domestic and international levels. Sue joined ASMI in September 2007 as a tutor sonographer and lecturer.

 

VERONIKA MACHACEK − Administration Manager − Veronika Machacek has worked at ASMI since 2009. Her role is to communicate with all students and applicants for the ASMI GPMU program, liaise with all clinical tutors, clinical partners and universities. She manages all aspects of ASMI’s administration and assists the CEO in daily tasks.

After commencement of her Diploma in Economics and Marketing, Veronika began her career as a Marketing and Advertising Assistant in Germany in 2000. She then moved into a role within an international company and worked for its Czech division as the Personal Assistant to the General Manager in Prague. This role had a great influence on her development in managing different tasks within the organisation and she had the opportunity to liaise with people on diverse levels in a multicultural environment.

When she moved to Australia in 2004, she gained experience in Real Estate as a Sales Assistant. Veronika loves working with people and brings great passion to the efficient and professional management of the ASMI office at all times. In 2011 she completed her Diploma in Management and is a highly valued and indispensable team member of ASMI.

 

DARRELL SAWARD − Financial Controller − Darrell has previously managed the entire financial function for both small and large local and multinational organisations including company accounts, reporting, variance analysis, month end, P&L and balance sheet and the preparation of the annual budget and updated forecasts.

As a qualified CPA, Darrell joined ASMI in March 2012 and his knowledge and expertise has been well received and utilised. Darrell’s qualifications are impressive as he holds a Master of Commerce – Marketing (M. Comm), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (Dip. Fin. Mgt.) and a Bachelor of Economics Degree (B.Ec), with a double major in Economics and Economic Statistics.
