ASMI Tutor, Rod McGregor’s article, “Sonographer practitioner development in Australia: Qualitative analysis of an Australian sonographers’ survey” which was published in the UK.  The abstract of this paper states, “This paper reports on qualitative data derived from a survey of Australian sonographers and investigates if Australian sonographers are interested in extending and expanding their professional role and responsibilities and, if they do, what might be necessary or desirable from a professional point of view for this change to occur.” To read the full article, click here

Congratulations to ASMI Tutors
Numerous ASMI tutors have presented a session and/or delivered their paper and have made a significant presence at the sonography industry at the ASA Conference in May 2010.

A special recognition goes to ASMI tutor, Stephen Bird who won the “Best Technical Paper” for his paper on Common Extensor Origin.

Well done to ASMI tutors:

  • Lisa Briggs, who delivered a paper on ultrasound of cysts around the knee + abdominal wall, groin and surrounding structures
  • Dr Sue Campbell Westerway who delivered a session on Estimating fetal weight for best clinical outcome at the conference
  • Dr Jason Paige  who presented a session on Vascular entrapment syndromes as well as Pre-operative and Post operative CVI
  • Our clinical director, Rob McGregor who presented a discussion on Ultrasound protocols in Obstetric sonography.
